BEAUFORT: The residents of Kampung Tamalang Along Dua-Bukau can breathe a sigh of relief when four mini-concrete bridges are now under construction to solve their long-standing problems.
It follows the absence of a stronger bridge and the way for residents to cross the Tamalang River either to return home or to take the produce out of the farms using vehicles.
Lumadan Assemblyman Datuk Ruslan Muharam said a total of RM200,000 was spent to implement the four projects at RM50,000 each.
He said implementing the project under the Lumadan Assemblyman’s allocation would ensure that the infrastructure can be built immediately and overcome the difficulties faced by the residents in the area.

“Once completed, the infrastructure built in four different locations based on the needs of the residents will benefit more than 600 people,” he said when visiting the project sites, here.
Ruslan, who is also Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, said that in addition to being able to bring produce from the farms, residents would also be able to drive vehicles to their homes.
According to him, before, residents had to park their vehicles on the side of the village road before walking on the bridge that crossed the small river to return to their respective homes.
“This situation has caused the small village roads to become narrower due to the lack of connecting bridges, if there are any, they are no longer safe due to wear and tear.
“There are also other routes that can be used but they are far away and only meet the needs of a few residents, not covering all. Therefore these concrete bridges are a total solution to this problem.
“Thus, after this, residents will be able to bring their vehicles directly to the house area and at the same time, be able to bring the produce out of the farms more easily,” he said.
