KOTA KINABALU: A fire destroyed four non-permanent houses at Kg Padas Tebobon, Menggatal on Friday.
The emergency call was received at 8:45 AM, and fire engines arrived at the scene approximately 11 km away in 13 minutes.
A total of 22 firefighters from Lintas and Kota Kinabalu fire stations were deployed.

All 18 residents safely evacuated before the fire department arrived. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
Other agencies involved included the police and Sabah Electricity. A full inspection was conducted after extinguishing to ensure no further hazards.
