  • New research found that four in five (83 per cent) hiring managers are now utilising artificial intelligence at some stage of the recruitment process.
  • A significant number of job seekers, 53 per cent, believe their applications are being rejected by AI without human oversight, leading to a lack of trust in the system.
  • 63 per cent of candidates surveyed feel that AI-led recruitment is less fair compared to human judgment, with some describing the experience as ”alienating”.
  • The research also highlights a reciprocal trend, with nearly 80 per cent of employers reporting a surge in AI-generated job applications over the past year.
  • Experts warn against over-reliance on AI in recruitment, suggesting it should support human intuition rather than replace it, especially as job competition intensifies.
