Indonesian bands Dadali, Repvblik, Armada and Samsons to perform at Idea Live Arena
FOUR Indonesian bands, Dadali, Repvblik, Armada and Samsons, will share the stage at Konsert Muzik D.R.A.S. at Idea Live Arena, Kuala Lumpur, on Oct 31.
Named after the initials of the four bands, the concert will feature individual performances alongside collaborative segments involving members from different groups.
The bands are also preparing new musical arrangements for the concert, giving Malaysian audiences a different take on some of their familiar songs.
Dadali, known for its emotional ballads, will introduce keyboard elements into several songs. Band member Dyrga said the new arrangements would offer a different sound while retaining the original compositions’ emotional appeal.
Repvblik will perform songs from its catalogue, including Sandiwara Cinta and Selimut Tetangga.
Band member Lafi said the four groups have different musical identities but share common themes in their songwriting, particularly relationships and personal experiences.
Vocalist Ruri added that Repvblik continues to draw inspiration from everyday experiences when writing its heartbreak songs.
Meanwhile, Armada is preparing arrangements that the band has yet to perform live.
The group previously experienced a strong reception from Malaysian fans, recalling an occasion when people around Bukit Bintang sang along to its songs.
Samsons will also join the line-up, performing selections from its catalogue. The band views the concert as an opportunity to reconnect with Malaysian listeners and share the stage with fellow Indonesian musicians.
Apart from their individual sets, the four bands will participate in crossover performances connecting one act to another.
These segments will feature collaborations between band members and stage arrangements developed specifically for the concert.
Konsert Muzik D.R.A.S. will begin at 8pm on Oct 31.
Tickets are priced between RM188 and RM588 and are available through Ticket2U and Fantopia. Further information is available at starplanet.com.my.
