Four people, including a woman and a boy, died in an 11-vehicle pile-up at KM110 of the East Coast Expressway near Temerloh; 30 bus passengers escaped unhurt.
KUANTAN: Four people were killed in an accident involving 11 vehicles at KM110 of the East Coast Expressway 1 (LPT1) from Lanchang towards Kuantan yesterday.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said the department received an emergency call at 10.44 pm.
He said those killed were trapped in two vehicles. They comprised a man, a woman and a boy in one car and another male in a separate vehicle.
Firemen helped extricate all the victims before they were pronounced dead by Health Ministry personnel.
He said the crash also involved a bus, but all 30 passengers escaped unharmed.
