
FOUR men have pleaded not guilty in the Seremban Sessions Court to the charge of raping an 11-year-old girl at a house in Jempol last week.
The accused, Y Sayrran Kumar, 21, a mechanic; Thineshwaran, 30, a lorry driver; G Niresh Pillai, 21, a mechanic; and K. Kumar, 40, a transport service owner, entered their pleas before Judge Datin Surita Budin after the charges were read.
According to the separate charges, the accused men raped the 11-year-old girl in a room at a house in Taman Meranti, Bahau, Jempol.
The act was allegedly committed on 23 August 2025, between 11 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.
Additionally, Sayrran Kumar is also charged with raping the same victim in June 2025 at about 11.30 a.m. in the back seat of a Perodua Myvi in front of Padang Taman ACBE, Jempol.
He is further accused of raping another 12-year-old girl at the same house on 23 August 2025, between 11.30 a.m. and 12 p.m.
All four are charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code.
If convicted, the men could face a maximum prison sentence of 20 years and caning.
The Deputy Public Prosecutor, Norazihah Asmuni, offered bail of RM30,000 for each charge against the accused with additional conditions. She also noted that the victims were acquaintances of all the accused.
The court set bail at RM30,000 for three charges against Sayrran Kumar, while Kumar and Thineshwaran were each granted bail of RM10,000, and Niresh Pillai RM5,000.
All were ordered not to interfere with witnesses, to report to a nearby police station once a month, and to surrender their passports if they have them.
During the proceedings, lawyer Revin Kumar represented Sayrran Kumar and Niresh Pillai; S. Virochean represented Kumar; and Ramzani Idris represented Thineshwaran.
The lawyers requested minimum bail for their clients, citing financial and health issues, among other reasons.
The court has set 15 October for the case to be mentioned again for the submission of documents. - August 29, 2025
