
PITAS: Four of the seven Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) in Pitas were closed at around 4 pm on Sunday as 368 flood victims were allowed to return home after floodwaters receded in their areas.
Three PPS remain operational, sheltering 816 victims from 311 households, with the majority housed at SK Pekan II, accommodating 597 people, including 315 adults, 219 children, 55 senior citizens, and 15 infants.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});The other two PPS still open are SK Salimpodon Darat, with 83 victims, including two individuals with disabilities, and Dewan Kampung Kusilad, housing 136 people, including one disabled person and seven infants.
A total of 20 villages were affected by the floods, while over 80 villages, including Mandurian Laut and Bilangau, were reported to have been cut off due to damaged or submerged roads.
