KOTA KINABALU: A fourth child deponent told the Coroner’s Court she heard senior students scold Zara Qairina Mahathir with words including “buduh, sial… aku injaklah kepala ko” (stupid, damn… I will stomp on your head).
The witness, who was staying in dorm A3-6 where Zara was called in for questioning, said using foul language was common among residents but stressed she did not hear anyone say the word “die” that night.
She told the court she was close enough to hear the exchange and sought to be clear about what she had and had not heard during the questioning.
The deponent also said none of the senior girls touched Zara while she was being questioned, and she did not hear anyone laugh at her, according to lawyer Joan Goh.
Joan Goh said the testimony was given to help clarify the events surrounding Zara’s time in the dorm as the coroner’s inquiry continues and families await further answers.
