Frank Steinleitner Is Now MD Of Volkswagen Group Malaysia

Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) today announced the appointment of Dato’ Frank Andreas Steinleitner as its new Managing Director, effective 01 September 2026.

He succeeds Dr. Susanne Lehmann, who leaves the company after more than two and a half years of dedicated leadership.

Dato’ Frank brings more than three decades of international automotive experience, having held senior executive positions across Germany, Africa and Asia. Throughout his career, he has successfully led premium automotive businesses, including the successful re-establishment of Lamborghini in South Korea and the management of one of Seoul’s leading Porsche dealerships. His appointment reflects Volkswagen’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Malaysia while accelerating the next phase of the brand’s transformation.

As Managing Director, Dato’ Frank will focus on expanding Volkswagen’s market position, improving customer experience and deepening collaboration with key partners, particularly DRB-HICOM, Volkswagen’s long-standing assembly partner.
