Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Frankenstein has finally landed on Netflix, giving subscribers an opportunity to see one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Netflix’s Frankenstein is not only a spin on Mary Shelley’s tale of “what happens when man plays God,” but it feels like a del Toro movie from beginning to end. The art direction and production design are mesmerizing, but then, so are the casting choices. Oscar Isaac as the titular scientist stands out, but it’s Jacob Elordi’s performance as the monster that truly stands out.
