
SIPITANG: The Department of Veterinary Services in this district is currently holding anti-rabies vaccine injection (dog) which is into the fourth phase.
The Department’s spokesperson said it started on Oct 17 and would continue until Oct 21 in the villages.
It started at Kg Ganui, Kg Tekula, Kg Batu 8, Kg Ranau-ranau, Kg Kawang Tali Air, Kg RI Menanti, Pekan Sindumin. Skim Kg Sindumin and Kg Sindumin.
It was also held at Kg Melalia, Kg Pisukau, Kg Layun, Kg Mesapol lama, Kg Kalamauh, Kg Sungai Bolar, Kg Stickers, Kg Stickers Scheme, Kg Nafas Pelekat, Kg Padang Beremphas, Kg Bugis and SFI.
On the same day it was carried out Kg Pekiak, Kg Tunas Baru, Kg. LIGS Mendulong, Kg Kuala Muaya, Kg Kuala Muaya Baru, Kg Tanah Merah and Kg Melagau.
On Tuesday, it will start at Kg. Bawang, Kg Sungai Iteh, Kg Kelangsat, Kg Pengarwan, Kg Solob, Kg Marau, Kg Damai and Kg Paru Siku as well as Kg Samin, Kg Ulau, Kg Pantai, Kg Long Kinangan, Kg Petarikan and Kg Siputol.
Other villages involved include Kg Naluyan, Kg Lubok Darat, Kg Tunggul Ketinggian, Kg Muhibah, Kg Tanjung Aru 9, Kg Pasir, Kg KPD, Perumahan Sri Bayu and Kg Marintaman.
Besides that, vaccinations will also be held on 19 Oktober at Kg Mendulong, Kg Bahagia (Mukim Sindumin), Kg Melamam, Kg Kuala Mengalong, Kg Kaban and Kg Tanjung Meritam.
It will also be carried out at Kg Bangsal, Kg Lubang Buaya, Kg Banting, Kg Luagan, Kg. Kawang and Kg Kawang Tua.
Other villages to receive the service are Kg Sungai Tiga. Kg Ketipoh, Kg Kesili, Kg Populor, Kg Sg Bubus, Kg Ulu Sipitang, Kg Pasir Puteh, Kg Gruh Gruh, Kg Buang Sayang, Kg Batu 1 and 2, Kg Bukit Setia and Kg Tanjung Pagar.
On October 20 the services will be held at Kg Mendulong, Kg Mop, Kg Bahagia (Mukim Sindumin), Kg Melamam, Kg Kuala Mengalong, Kg Kaban and Kg Tanjung Meritam. This is followed by Kg Mesapol, Kg Cina Mesapol, Kg Naparan, Kg Berambai, Kg Pengiran, Kg Middle Taman Wawasan and Kg Tanjong Pagar.
Kg Tanjung Nipis, Kg Banting, Kg Luagan, Kg Kawang and Kg Kawang Lama will also receive the services.
The people concerned are told to provide identification cards, vaccination cards for the animal (if any) and importantly ensure animals are in good health, not pregnant and three months old or older.
The spokesperson said the animal must be quarantined for a period of 14 days and they should avoid contact with water. He also advised the public to bring their dogs to be vaccinated against rabies.
