‘Free homes for converts may be viewed as graft’

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Government can provide housing, whether free or otherwise, to the deserving but not because they happen to be converts who have been disowned by their families.

Borneo’s Plight In Malaysia Foundation (BoPiMaFo) President Daniel John Jambun said this in response to a statement by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Ruslan Muharam, on the mualaf (convert) issue.

Ruslan had suggested that the State Government should set up a housing complex for less fortunate Muslim converts here.
