The initiative would incur a cost of RM37.6 million for the government!

According to reports by @NewsBFM, The Works Ministry stated that the exemptions will exclude the Sultan Iskandar Building and Tanjung Kupang toll plazas.

The toll-free period will commence at 12:01 am on April 8 and conclude at 11:59 pm the following day.

However, reports indicate that the toll exemption applies to all tolls except for the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) toll plaza and the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza in Johor Darul Takzim.

The number of vehicles is expected to increase on all highway networks

For users of the North-South Expressway (PLUS), they are encouraged to plan their journeys by adhering to the recommended travel time advisory (TTA) schedule, which can be downloaded via the MyPLUS-TTA app for App Store or Google Play.

As an effort to reduce congestion during the 2024 Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration season, the Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) and concession companies will activate Smart Lane routes at 18 locations on the PLUS Highway to increase capacity and facilitate traffic flow.
