KUALA LUMPUR - The Intellectual Authors Club (IAC) is empowering aspiring writers with a focused e-book writing workshop designed to help participants produce their first e-book draft within 24 hours. The one-day programme, aims to build confidence and encourage more individuals to explore digital writing and self-publishing. IAC also plans to have a 2-day writing retreat workshops to help develop a more practical and critical thinking environment for a content rich e-book for readers.

IAC President S. Nahanthiran said the initiative addresses a common challenge among first-time writers, many of whom struggle to begin due to fear, lack of confidence, and uncertainty about the writing process. He noted that external discouragement and overthinking often contribute to delays in starting a book.

To overcome these barriers, the workshop adopts a hands-on approach, guiding participants through a clear and practical writing process. Participants are encouraged to actively write during the session, allowing them to move past mental blocks and gain immediate progress on their work.

The programme also introduces participants to the fundamental differences between e-books and physical books, helping them better understand how content is structured and delivered in different formats. This knowledge is essential for those looking to enter the growing space of digital publishing. Even physical book writers hesitate to write e-book because of the lack of awareness in the techniques and the structural differences. One has to go through the techniques and the structures first. Only after seeing the results one will be able to believe that e-books can be written in a short period of time. S. Nahanthiran says.

“To know about e-book, write your 1st e-book. Seeing is believing”

Through intensive coaching by experienced authors and trainers, IAC has proven to create writers who are able to complete their first draft within a short time frame. The approach not only accelerates the writing process but also builds the confidence needed to pursue further writing projects.

The initiative reflects IAC’s broader mission to encourage a culture of reading and writing while supporting individuals in transforming their ideas into published work. Under the leadership of Nahanthiran, the club continues to provide a platform for aspiring writers to learn, grow, and develop their skills in the writing field.
