Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysia Budget and Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) Sabah Chapter will host a training session on front desk and housekeeping skills in September.
The training is held in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp).
“It is hoped that members will send their staff as it is HRD Corp claimable,” said MyBHA in a statement, here, Thursday.
Members of the MyBHA Sabah lineup for 2022/ 2025 also paid a courtesy visit to Sabah Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Noredah Othman, recently.

MyBHA Sabah Chapter, in July, attended the national Annual General Meeting at a hotel in Subang as well as MyBHA’s 23rd Anniversary graced by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing.
The Sabah Chapter delegates also attended the national exco meeting in Kuala Lumpur in early August.
Then it is back to nature for MyBHA Sabah who will be going on a camping trip in addition with family travel events scheduled to take place in early December.
Current challenges and issues facing the budget and business hotels were discussed with suggested solutions to overcome them.
Meanwhile, the new exco line-up which was named during MyBHA Sabah’s 16th Annual General Meeting in May for 2022/2025 are Chairman James Ong, Deputy Chairman Harold Chung, Honorary Secretary Terrance Sak, Deputy Honorary Secretary Jason Ng, Treasurer Datin Mimie Ang and Deputy Treasurer Annabelle Funk.
Committee members are Asia Fung, Wilson Chin and Ng Ee Von, Business Bureau Ken Ang, Auditor Melissa Wong and Advisor Albert Shim.
