Frozen pizza snacks recalled in US over potential metal fragment contamination

  • Over 6,400 cases of frozen pizza products have been recalled due to potential metal fragment contamination.
  • Rich Products Corp recalled its Farm Rich Pizza Cheese Crunchers in May. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) elevated the recall to Class II on June 9, which means that consuming or using the items can pose a serious health risk.
  • The affected frozen appetizers were distributed to retailers across 21 US states.
  • The bite-sized snacks can be identified by the Lot/Unit Number 003029976, UPC Code 041322652256 and Best By Date of July 30, 2027.
  • It comes after Champion Foods LLC recalled certain batches of its Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread last week. According to the FDA, the product contained a dry milk powder that was recalled in April due to potential salmonella contamination.
