Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas does not believe Granit Xhaka will play this weekend despite apologising for his behaviour in the draw with Crystal Palace.

Xhaka released a statement on Thursday explaining why he reacted furiously to being booed by the club's supporters.

The Swiss revealed he has received threats towards his wife and family on social media.

But Nicholas still doesn't think the midfielder will face Wolves on Saturday.

"I don't think there's any chance of him playing," Nicholas told Sky Sports.

"If anything it could be the Europa [League] game, I think they've moved it to Wednesday next week. That could be the one that he could play in, Vitoria.

"But I don't see that he would be that interested in playing, the way he feels at the moment."
