Premier League giants Liverpool have 'set aside' the funds to secure signings in the January transfer window.

The Reds are struggling in the league at present, while they are also finding it difficult in their Champions League group.

After nearly winning four trophies last term, Jurgen Klopp's team have dropped in quality this season, but the manager's job is not at risk.

Per Football Insider, the club's Fenway Sports Group owners are ready to sanction a spending spree in January, if the right player is available.

Central midfield is an area of particular interest to Liverpool, as they are lacking in quality and depth in that area of the field.

However, boss Klopp has often reiterated that they will only spend if it is the right player to secure the position in the long term, not on a stop gap.
