
MANILA, Philippines - Fuel prices are expected to increase on March 24, Tuesday as most oil companies still have not released their price adjustments for the week.
As of 4:45 p.m., Jetti Petroleum was the only company that released their adjustments and said that it will hike diesel prices by P18.00 per liter, and gasoline prices by P8.00 per liter.
Late at night, Unioil announced that it will increase diesel prices by P16.80 per liter, and gasoline prices by P9.70 per liter.
Afterwards, Seaoil said that it will increase diesel prices by also P16.80 per liter, gasoline prices by P9.70 per liter, and kerosene prices by P20.90 per liter.
All added that there will be no staggering of increases and will be implemented all at once on Tuesday.
This will also be the 10th straight increase for diesel and gasoline prices as the war in the Middle East continues to impact the global oil market.
Last week, fuel prices once again spiked as diesel went up by P20.40-P23.90 per liter, gasoline rose by P12.90-P16.60 per liter, and kerosene increased by P6.90- P8.90 per liter as local oil companies implemented different price adjustments and staggered the said increases.
