FUEL prices went up for the fourth straight week Tuesday, as the global market reacted to continued geopolitical tensions and increasing oil demand by countries experiencing winter.

Gasoline rose by 60 centavos per liter, diesel by P1 per liter, and kerosene by 60 centavos per liter.

Pushing up oil prices were developments between the US and Iran, the decision of OPEC+ to keep their oil production as is, higher oil demand as the Lunar New Year approaches, and the winter season.

Last week, gasoline prices went up by 80 per liter, diesel by P1.60 per liter, and kerosene by P1.10 per liter.

Since the start of the year, the per-liter price of gasoline has risen by P3, diesel by P6.50, and kerosene by P4.20.
