FUJIFILM Malaysia today announced a strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Health to enhance healthcare delivery through advanced imaging and health informatics in the meeting between Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health and Mr Teiichi Goto, President and Chief Executive Officer of FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation.

The collaboration aims to support the Ministry’s “one individual, one record” initiative, enabling a seamless and patient-centred healthcare ecosystem.

Fujifilm will share knowledge and experience of digital transformation and provide its state-of-the-art imaging equipment which captures detailed and reliable medical images and data essential for accurate and timely diagnosis.

In addition, the company’s Synapse Enterprise Imaging IT portfolio offers to integrate and manage healthcare data securely across different facilities, facilitating a unified and accessible patient record.

Fujifilm was awarded the endoscopy leasing project by the Ministry of Health last year; the Ministry is further exploring an opportunity for endoscopy leasing as part of this collaboration.

This includes incorporating AI technology to improve colorectal cancer detection during endoscopy procedures, reducing physician fatigue and enhancing diagnostic accuracy.
