Fulham boss Marco Silva wanted to focus on the positives after their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Silva praised the character shown by his players.

He said, "If you see the last few games, Bournemouth have played with good possession. We didn't give them a chance to do that. We conceded two goals in the first half, the first with six against two inside our box, the second with six against four inside our box. From nothing they can create a chance.

“We need to be more compact in these moments because they don't have to do something special to create a chance. We need to be stronger as a team. At half-time, I told the players the damage was done but we had to show character. In the second half, we did everything. We pushed them back while stopping them from creating counter-attacks. I think we did that really well.

“I have seen the penalty. If West Ham got a penalty for this [last week], why isn't this a penalty? The feedback that I got from the person in charge was that it was a clear penalty. If that one was a penalty, then this has to be a penalty because I want to see some consistency.

“We have quality. When defensive things happen, we have to work on it as a collective. We know we have the capacity to create chances, with our philosophy. This game is a good example.

“I think I have to highlight the character and personality of our team."
