Fulham fullback Antonee Robinson is backing Rodrigo Muniz to break into the Brazil squad.
Muniz scored twice in victory over Tottenham on Saturday.
USA international Robinson told the club's website: "He's probably knocking on the door to play against me at Copa America! I'm happy for him but I wouldn't be very happy if he's playing against us!"
On the USA's upcoming Nations League matches, he also said: "We've obviously got Semis and a Final - hopefully - coming up, so I'm looking forward to it.
"Hopefully I can take this confidence into the internationals, contribute and come home with a medal."
