Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney insists defeat at Liverpool was undeserved.
Mohamed Salah struck from the penalty spot in the 39th-minute after Darwin Nunez had been fouled by Fulham defender Issa Diop.
Cottagers captain Cairney said: "I asked [the referee] on the pitch to check it.
"He said they checked it. It's frustrating because it goes to other people to make the correct decision.
"He hasn't touched him. It's frustrating when we're trying to climb the table as high as we can."
