Chelsea have rejected the opportunity to sign Willian on a free transfer this summer.
The Blues had a chance to be reunited with their former Brazilian winger, who had a great season at Fulham.
Per Gianluca Di Marzio, Willian was eager to return to Stamford Bridge, given how he performed in the Premier League last term.
However, Chelsea have other plans and chose to go in a different direction with their squad building.
Fulham are now hoping they can get Willian to agree to a new deal for one or two years.
The veteran has also played for London side Arsenal during his career in England.
