A furious Eddie Hearn blasted the judge after Dmitry Bivol lost the boxing world champion title to Artur Beterbiev.

Beterbiev became the undisputed light-heavyweight world champion after defeating Bivol by majority decision in Riyadh on Saturday (12 October).

A tight encounter ended with scores of 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112 on the judges’ cards as the 39-year-old Russian-born Canadian added the WBA crown to his WBC, WBO and IBF titles.

In a press conference, Hearn said: “I struggled to find anybody on our row, the row behind, the TV rows, who didn’t score the fight to Dmitry Bivol. To find a judge who gave it 116-112 and give Dmitry Bivol four rounds in that fight – this judge should never work in this sport again. I’m sorry.”
