G57 lodges police report against ‘missing’ Sabah CM claim

KOTA KINABALU: Claims circulating on social media that Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor was “missing” and absent from the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting have been denied as false and malicious.

Gerakan Kuasa Rakyat Malaysia (G57) chairman Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar said Hajiji was present throughout the DUN sitting from April 23 and April 27–30, carrying out his official duties as usual.

A police report has been lodged against the “Medsos Sabahan” social media account, allegedly linked to Parti Warisan Sabah, for spreading the claim.

G57 also rejected allegations that land in Sebatik had been handed over to Indonesia, calling it fabricated. The group said such claims are part of a coordinated attempt to undermine Hajiji’s leadership ahead of the next general election.

It added that Sabah’s 40pc revenue entitlement from the federal government has significantly increased under Hajiji’s leadership, reaching RM600 million in 2025.
