Dani Ceballos has held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez regarding his future while on-loan with Arsenal.
The Spanish youngster joined the Gunners on a season-long loan this summer and has enjoyed an impressive start to life in north London.
El Desmarque says Ceballos met with Perez this week to discuss his future and remains "hopeful" that a deal can be agreed to allow him to join Arsenal on a permanent basis.
Ceballos is said to be prioritising a permanent move to Arsenal and has asked Perez to meet with the Gunners in January to discuss a deal.
However, he is concerned that Perez may scupper the deal and insist on keeping the highly-rated playmaker.
