Kota Kinabalu: Both leaders of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah and Barisan Nasional (BN) do not have sincere commitment and enough courage to concretely address the perennial flash flood problem in various areas in Sabah.
In lambasting these leaders, Parti Warisan deputy president Darell Leiking said GRS and BN failed to secure larger funding from the Federal Government to mitigate flash flood occurrences at flood-prone districts all over Sabah especially at Moyog (Penampang) and Kota Kinabalu.
He said that it is unfathomable to see GRS and BN State leaders especially those from Bersatu and Umno to sit quietly while large amount of funding have been allocated to Peninsular states to mitigate flash and major flooding despite the fact that Sabah is a major GDP contributor to the country.
