Alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and the Flip8 – Samsung is also launching the new smartwatches, namely the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and also the Galaxy Watch9. These two new smartwatches come with the next-generation AI-powered health monitoring, enhanced sports tracking, longer battery life, and brighter displays.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s most capable smartwatch to date, built for athletes, outdoor adventurers and users who require rugged durability.
It introduces dedicated Trail Run tracking that provides detailed elevation, terrain impact and climbing data, while a new Nutrition Alert feature estimates sweat loss and recommends when users should hydrate during workouts. The watch also supports diving, automatically recording metrics such as depth, dive time and water temperature, with additional diving capabilities arriving later through a dedicated Ultra2 Diving app developed alongside Mares.
The new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 comes with a larger 800mAh battery, 12% thinner, and also a much brighter display.
As for the new Galaxy Watch9 series, it comes with 40mm and 44mm sizes. It has a lightweight aluminium chassis, a 390mAh battery, and also a brighter display too. Many more changes are found under the hood, like the new AI-powered health features such as:
- Vitals — monitors sleep-based health baselines and alerts users to significant changes.
- Heart Health Score — provides an overview of cardiovascular wellness alongside lifestyle recommendations.
- Daily Cardio Load — analyses workout intensity and recovery requirements.
- Fitness Index — measures overall physical fitness and tracks progress.
- Hearing — monitors exposure to loud sounds and provides hearing protection insights.
