Former AC Milan defender Filippo Galli says they must be busy in this summer's market.
Galli says the priority must be a new centre-forward.
He told Cusano TV: "A centre-forward will be needed, we're talking about (Bologna striker Josh) Zirkzee, maybe I'll say it. And then certainly a central defender, a holding midfielder, in short, Milan will undoubtedly have to move on the market, we are waiting confidently.
"I am a Rossoneri fan as well as having been a player and therefore we suffer. And then we need to understand which important players will be sold, if they will be sold.
"It's difficult to say what the club will do. It will also depend on the coach who comes in. (Rafael) Leao and Theo Hernandez are a bit missed, that famous left-wing chain who sometimes solved Milan's problems through plays and an ability to find each other was unique".
