As a customer, I experienced in today's fast-paced tourism business environment, it is essential for hotels, and resorts to be agile and adaptable to remain competitive. Corporate agility like Club Med Cherating Malaysia is the ability of a resort to respond rapidly to changes in the market, customer preferences or industry trends. It is the ability to make quick & informed decisions, take calculated risks & pivot strategies as needed. Traditional hierarchical organisations are often slow to adapt to technologies & changing customer needs.
I did random engagement with some frontline staff of Club Med Cherating and, I learned from them “The corporate agility is not just about being able to react to change, but also about anticipating and proactively shaping the future of the resort. An agile resort has a culture that encourages innovation, experimentation and continuing training & education.”
I also got the candid feedback from most of the managers that, “Those that are slow to respond risk losing market share or becoming obsolete. I agree a culture of innovation, therefore, is one that encourages employees to think creatively, experiment which new ideas and take calculated risks. Evidently, I found Club Med that embrace innovation create an environment where employees are not afraid to suggest new ideas or challenge existing processes. By encouraging innovation, and adopting a mindset of continuous improvement, Club Med can stay ahead of the curve, anticipate future trends, develop new products & services to meet the ever changing customer needs.
