- The White House posted a Game of Thrones-themed video on social media depicting Washington, D.C., as restored and turning the Resolute Desk into the Iron Throne.
- The video highlights landmarks restored under President Donald Trump's beautification campaign, including long-dormant fountains at Meridian Hill Park and Dupont Circle.
- The clip excludes the troubled $16 million Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool restoration project, which has suffered from algae blooms and peeling liners.
- The post reflects a broader strategy by the White House leveraging pop-culture imagery and royal motifs to portray Trump's leadership.
- HBO previously criticized the administration's use of its intellectual property after Trump shared a Game of Thrones-inspired graphic in 2018.
