MANILA, Philippines — Vice Ganda’s popular comedy talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” (GGV) is making its long-awaited return this September.
“Yes, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice,’ the new season, will come back next month on GMA, iWant, and Kapamilya Channel,” ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory V. Vidanes said during ABS-CBN’s 2026 annual stockholders’ meeting.
The announcement confirms the return of the show more than six years after its original run ended on March 8, 2020, following nearly nine years on ABS-CBN.
Vice Ganda had previously teased the program’s comeback. On Wednesday, he appeared to acknowledge the news on X, writing, “Gandang Gabi Kapamilya at Kapuso!!!! #GGV.”
The revival also marks a notable collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA, which have historically competed for television audiences. GGV’s broadcast on GMA will give the show a free-TV platform while also making it available through ABS-CBN’s iWant streaming service and Kapamilya Channel.
The original “Gandang Gabi Vice” premiered in May 2011 and became one of ABS-CBN’s most recognizable entertainment programs, combining celebrity interviews, comedy, musical performances and audience interaction. Its final episode aired in March 2020.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce the exact premiere date, timeslot, guest lineup and other details for the new season.
The return of GGV comes as ABS-CBN also prepares for the comeback of another major franchise, “Pinoy Big Brother" in October.
