Police suspect a gang dispute led to a fatal fight in Buntong, with one man killed and others injured, while a suspect is remanded for investigation.

IPOH: A gang dispute is believed to have led to a man’s murder during a fight in Buntong last night.

Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin stated that preliminary investigations indicate the incident involved a conflict between several members of a specific group.

He clarified that the case has nothing to do with racial or 3R issues.

A 23-year-old suspect has been remanded for one week to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Police are still working to identify the precise motive behind the fatal altercation.

The victim’s friends, who were also injured in the incident, are in stable condition receiving treatment at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.

Ipoh district police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah confirmed the fight occurred at approximately 11.10 pm yesterday.
