Garmin Malaysia has introduced its new Index Sleep Monitor, a lightweight and comfortable smart sleep band designed to track sleep and provide deeper insights into overall fitness and recovery.
For starters, the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor is an upper-arm wearable designed to deliver a comprehensive view of sleep and recovery. With up to 7 nights of battery life, it continuously tracks key health metrics such as sleep stages, HRV, breathing patterns, Pulse Ox, skin temperature, and more.
Each morning, users receive a personalized sleep score (0–100) based on sleep duration, stress, and sleep quality. The smart band also monitors light, deep, and REM sleep cycles, average HRV status, respiration rate, and night-time stress levels.
For women, it also offers advanced health insights, which include improved menstrual tracking and ovulation estimates using temperature data. Plus, the smart wake alarm gently vibrates during lighter sleep stages within a chosen time window, helping users wake up feeling refreshed.
Furthermore, all collected metrics seamlessly sync to the Garmin Connect app, and when paired with a compatible Garmin smartwatch, users gain a more complete picture of their overall recovery, energy levels (via Body Battery), and stress, even if the watch isn’t worn overnight.
Pricing and Availability
Coming in two sizes: S-M and L-XL, the new Garmin Index Sleep Monitor will soon arrive in the Malaysian market at a price of RM739.
