Garmin Malaysia has just unveiled its latest fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro multisport GPS smartwatches. Let’s take a quick look at them.
For starters, the Garmin fēnix 9 features an AMOLED display that is twice as bright as its predecessor, along with a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, leakproof buttons, and 40-metre dive rating.
New stamina zones and stamina curve tools help users track endurance and pace activities more effectively, while enhanced indoor rowing metrics and expanded rucking features provide deeper training insights. For navigation, its updated map engine delivers up to 30% faster panning, with 50% more RAM and a new perspective view for improved route planning.
With 64GB of storage, the smartwatch can hold twice as many maps as the fēnix 8 and up to 7,000 songs, while Garmin’s free Epic feature combines activities recorded across days, weeks, or months into a single timeline in Garmin Connect. The fēnix 9 is available in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm sizes.
Building on the features of fēnix 9, the fēnix 9 Pro adds a titanium case, brighter AMOLED displays reaching up to 3,000 nits, and optional solar-charging displays for extended battery life.
Its 51mm AMOLED model also introduces Garmin’s largest fēnix display at 1.5 inches, offering 15% more screen area without increasing the case size. An integrated LED flashlight now includes a green light mode to help preserve night vision. The fēnix 9 Pro AMOLED models come in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm sizes, while Solar variants are available in 47mm and 51mm.
In terms of battery life, the largest fēnix 9 offers up to 29 days of use, while the largest AMOLED fēnix 9 Pro lasts up to 31 days, with the Solar models extending this to up to 57 days.

Available in Malaysia from 18 September, the new Garmin fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro are priced from RM4,299 and RM4,699, respectively.
