Alejandro Garnacho has made a plea to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to release him for Argentina's U20 World Cup campaign.
Garnacho would miss the FA Cup final should Ten Hag allow him to join up with Javier Mascherano's Argentina squad.
The winger has just returned to training after an extended spell on the sidelines injured.
Doble Amarilla reports Garnacho has spoken with ten Hag and told him: "I need to write my story with the Argentine shirt. I ask you please to let me go."
The U20 World Cup kick-starts on May 20th, running until June 11th, and will be held in Garnacho's adopted home country, Argentina.
Garnacho has scored four goals in his 29 appearances for United this season.
