Gary Valenciano is bringing his “Inspired” concert tour to North America this June, with performances scheduled across four cities in the United States as part of Manila Genesis Entertainment and Management Inc.’s 40th anniversary celebration.
The tour opened June 14 at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California and continues June 19 at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California; June 21 at the Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center in Taylor, Michigan; and June 27 at the Durham Convention Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Valenciano, known for a career spanning more than four decades, said the concert aims to deliver a message of encouragement amid ongoing challenges around the world.
“Despite everything that has been happening at home in the Philippines and around the world, I grab every opportunity to bring hope to a world that desperately needs a little inspiration in the best way that I can,” he said.
He added that more than a concert built on nostalgia, Inspired is a celebration of faith, family, and community.
Joining Valenciano on all four stops is his son, Gabriel Valenciano, a director, music producer, dancer and content creator known for his visual storytelling projects. Gabriel gained international attention for work that led to a collaboration with Beyoncé on the music video “7/11,” which has accumulated more than 625 million views on YouTube. In 2015, he was also recognized by YouTube as one of its top 70 content creators worldwide.
Gabriel also recently appeared with his father on the third episode of “Unshaken With Gary V,” which premiered on YouTube on June 8.
Singer-songwriter Kiana Valenciano is joining the California performances in Highland and Lincoln. Known for her R&B-influenced sound, she received the PMPC Star Award for Music’s Best Female R&B Artist honor in 2022.
The tour’s musical director is Ramon “Mon” Faustino. Guest performers include vocalists Alyssa Quijano and Elke Saison Ortiz, along with drummer Jonathan Regalado.
According to the organizers, “Inspired” seeks to connect with Filipinos living abroad while introducing younger audiences to songs and stories that have shaped Filipino popular music over the years.
Beyond the concert tour, Valenciano is also scheduled to appear on “The 700 Club” USA with CBN Chairman Gordon Robertson on June 24 in Virginia.
