MANILA, Philippines — Gasoline and diesel prices are expected to increase again next week, as the tensions between US and Iran continue to stoke unease in the market, local oil industry sources said on Friday.
They said that gasoline prices would either stay put or slightly go up by P0.10 per liter, and that diesel prices would increase by around P0.40 to P0.60 per liter.
This will be the 6th consecutive week where both gasoline and diesel prices are forecast to go up based on the 4-day trading of Mean of Platts, Singapore, the pricing basis of refined goods in Southeast Asia.
Local oil companies this week increased fuel prices as gasoline went up by P1.20 per liter, and diesel by P0.60 per liter.
