Barcelona midfielder Gavi resisted a move to Bayern Munich to commit to a new contract this week.

Gavi has signed a deal to 2026, though Sport says he had the chance to move to Germany this summer.

Bayern were prepared to pay the €50m buyout clause in Gavi's previous deal, but the 18 year-old refused to consider leaving.

Bayern's attempt followed a previous effort to ferry Pedri away from Barca two years ago.

Bayern offered €12m for the midfielder in the aftermath of their famous 8-2 Champions League win, only for Barca to stand firm.

Like Gavi, Pedri now has a deal to 2026 and a buyout clause of €1bn.
