Gavi admits he's excited as any Barcelona fan after their summer market work.
The Spain international explained that the new signings will help Barcelona improve following a rare campaign wherein they failed to win any trophies.
"I'm the first person to be excited about this team and people have to be too," said Gavi.
"We have made some very good signings. They've already played very well. Let's hope we continue like this.
"I'm just as excited as I was in my first season, but with more experience. I hope it will be a very nice and happy season for our whole team.
"The signings are there to create competition and improve the team. Whatever the veterans and the signings tell me to help me, I'm happy."
Gavi went on to send his own message to the Barcelona fans after his team's 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in a friendly game that took place in Las Vegas.
"[I want to ask them] to be optimistic," Gavi added.
"They should be excited about the team. We will try to give our best in every game for our fans."
