GCASH for Business has partnered with global fintech firm Pine Labs to expand digital payment services for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines.
The partnership will integrate installment payment plans, rewards, loyalty, and cashback features into GCash’s merchant acquiring platform while supporting multiple payment methods, including card and QR transactions.
The companies said the collaboration aims to strengthen digital payment adoption among Filipino businesses through Pine Labs’ point-of-sale technology and GCash’s merchant network.
GCash for Business currently offers digital payment tools such as PocketPay, which converts smartphones into point-of-sale devices, and SoundPay, an audio confirmation system for transactions. It also recently launched SoundPay Plus and EasyPOS devices targeted at smaller businesses seeking enterprise-grade payment capabilities.
Under the partnership, merchants using the GCash platform will be able to accept both QR and card payments through Pine Labs systems.
“GCash helps Filipino entrepreneurs grow by giving them simple, reliable ways to accept payments and manage their daily operations. With our collaboration with Pine Labs, merchants can now offer more payment choices and added perks, making it easier for their businesses to expand and serve more customers,” said Paul Albano, general manager and head of GCash for Business.
Dheeraj Chowdhry, chief business officer for Southeast Asia at Pine Labs, said the partnership would focus on software integration, payment processing, and merchant onboarding in the Philippines.
Pine Labs said it has established a local entity in the country and currently works with banks, merchants, and financial institutions in several international markets. The company also powers a gift card program for SM Retail.
Businesses interested in the service may register through the GCash for Business portal.
