KUALA LUMPUR – The 15th general election (GE15) should close the book on party-hoppers who left PKR following the Sheraton Move in 2020, said party deputy president Rafizi Ramli.
In a party event to announce PKR’s GE15 candidates tonight, he said the fallout of the political upheaval in the past few years had led to the erosion of public confidence, not only in politicians but in the democratic process as well.
“Four years later, instead of the government getting progressively better, it became worse.
“Then we have all these political actors, where after this general election, I hope the rakyat can finally close the book on them.
“These people who jump from one party to another then formed another party, even to a point that we do not know what to make of it,” he said to a crowd of more than 1,000 people who gathered at Padang MPAJ, Taman Kosas here.
Rafizi also reminded candidates that they are embarking on a political journey at a time when the people genuinely despise politicians.
