KUALA LUMPUR – The Pandan parliamentary seat will witness a five-cornered fight involving Pakatan Harapan (PH), Warisan, Barisan Nasional (BN), Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pejuang.
The constituency will see PKR’s Rafizi Ramli, Warisan’s Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, MCA’s Leong Kok Wee, PAS’ Muhammad Rafique Zubir Albakri and Pejuang’s Nadia Hanafiah taking on each other in the upcoming polls.
Returning officer Julaihah Jamaluddin said the nomination forms were received, with each of the candidates submitting their forms between 9.02am and 9.20am.
“After going through all the forms, I’m satisfied and no candidates have been rejected,” she announced.
Malaysia will hold the polls on November 19, with early voting taking place on November 15.
During the last parliamentary term, the seat was held by PKR advisor Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who garnered a 52,543 majority.
Prior to Dr Wan Azizah, Rafizi had also won the seat under the PKR banner in 2013. – The Vibes, November 11, 2022
