An Israeli reservist says he fought in Gaza and Lebanon. In Prague, four armed officers approached him at passport control, held him for hours, and then refused him entry. Reason: a Schengen-wide “criminal” alert issued by France. That one entry in the system closed the entire Schengen area. He and his wife slept the night in limbo, paid for tickets, and were sent home.

The explanation he got: “serious crimes.” He says he’s never been to France. This isn’t just a travel nightmare. It’s a glimpse of a world that is finally, even timidly, beginning to act.
