- George Clooney has said he thinks British actor Callum Turner would make the ideal successor to Daniel Craig for the role of James Bond.
- Clooney, who directed Turner in The Boys in the Boat, described him as “the perfect guy to do it” as he “is tall and handsome and charming and British”.
- The 65-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter: “I hope Callum ends up being the next Bond. I think he would be a great Bond.”
- Turner has remained coy about the topic, telling the outlet: “I know as much as you do – really, I know as much as you do.”
- The next James Bond film, written by Steven Knight, is currently seeking its lead star following Daniel Craig's final performance in 2021’s No Time to Die.
