Kota Kinabalu: Gerakan criticised the Madani’s Government’s silence on individuals and entities allegedly inciting underage children to convert.
Describing the silence as extremely irresponsible, it said the Government, police and Ministry of Education should take action instead of remaining silent, adding that it is inconsistent with the slogan of the Madani Government.
“The Ministry of Education should explicitly prohibit any promotion of religion or inducement of underage children to convert, especially in sacred school environments, particularly involving religions different from those of the children and their parents,” said National Gerakan Vice-President Datuk Alexander Lo.
