The former Aston Villa and Rangers manager is set to depart European football for the time being.
Gerrard, whose managerial career appeared in free fall, is now getting the chance to manage in Saudi Arabia.
The Champions League winner is being linked to Al-Ettifaq, as the Saudi Public Investment Fund continues to attract big names to their domestic league.

The 43-year-old has not worked since he was fired in October by Villa, who were in relegation trouble at the time.
