Coffee and cafes. They can be the hype ones or just any small gerai that one open up by the streets. Somehow their aroma will make any caffeine lovers head turn when they pass by.
Coffee is believed to have originated in the region of Kaffa, Ethiopia. What better way to name this magical drink? Magical to me at least. Anyone who loves coffee would want to try out the Long Black or Americano first to gauge the taste of the beans. Of course, we will definitely be like the goats from the herder Kaldi back then with energetic and lively after consuming the berries.
The plant was named Coffea arabica and coffee cultivation spread to the Arabian Peninsula, where it was first roasted and brewed into a beverage. After that, coffee cultivation and consumption spread to other parts of the world, including Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
That being said, I was drawn to this quaint cafe after passing by this cafe for quite some time. Nestled below the PJ5 Studio apartment in Kelana Jaya, one would not be stopping there as it was quite hidden.
Yesterday, I thought of stopping by to simply try out before Ramadan comes.
Not a bad choice and a surprisingly instagramable place inside.
The Long Black coffee was good. I ordered to go. Next time, I shall try their pastries as well. They have their signature handbag latte. Yup! You read it right!
The coffee is served in a handbag style with frozen coffee cubes and a glass of milk on the side. You have got to pour the milk into the handbag and voila! your latte is ready to drink!
This cafe is the first to introduce this handbag latte in Kelana Jaya, I believe it will entice many girls out there to try it and it is a very good place to go for dates. Quaint, cosy and just plain wonderful.
